The room you need
| Check | Plan for | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Room depth for the launch monitor | 16.5 ft minimum · 18.5 ft comfortable | 1 ft screen gap + 8 ft of ball flight + 6.5 ft unit distance + 1 ft behind the unit |
| Ceiling for a 5′10″ golfer (driver) | 9′ 2″ | Golfer height + driver arc + mat + margin |
FOREference calculationDepth follows the launch monitor's placement: radar behind the ball needs ball flight plus the unit distance; camera and overhead units need the golfer, 8–10 ft to the screen and a gap behind it. Check your room.
